«La Secretaría de Seguridad Pública de Tamaulipas rescató a 24 inmigrantes de origen guatemalteco en el municipio del Antiguo de Morelos», informó el organismo en un boletín.
De acuerdo con la Secretaría de Seguridad Pública de Tamaulipas, durante un recorrido de seguridad y vigilancia en el ejido El Barranco, las autoridades detectaron una camioneta Dodge tipo van color blanco, en cuyo interior estaban 16 hombres, cuatro mujeres y cuatro niños, quienes se encontraban en aparente estado de deshidratación.
«Tras asegurar el perímetro, los policías estatales procedieron con la búsqueda en los alrededores sin que se pudiera ubicar a persona alguna relacionada con el vehículo o los indocumentados», señaló el boletín.
Los centroamericanos, al no poder justificar su estancia legal en el país y tras recibir atención médica, serán puestos a disposición del Instituto Nacional de Migracion INM. instancia que se encargará de ayudarlos a regresar a sus lugares de origen.
En otro hecho, durante este mismo fin de semana, 98 migrantes provenientes de Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador y República Dominicana, entre ellos 36 menores, fueron interceptados en el municipio de Cárdenas, en el suroriental estado de Tabasco.
Los migrantes fueron interceptados cuando miembros de la Agencia de Investigación Criminal (AIC) de la Procuraduría General de la República (PGR) atendieron una denuncia anónima que alertaba que en la carretera Cárdenas-Coatzacoalcos circulaba un vehículo donde se transportaban personas extranjeras, según informó la PGR en un boletín.
En el lugar localizaron la unidad con las características mencionadas, tripulado por el conductor y copiloto, ambos de nacionalidad mexicana.
«Al revisar el camión se percataron que varias personas viajaban en nulas condiciones de higiene«, agregó el texto.
Las autoridades detuvieron a los dos mexicanos, incautaron el camión y pusieron al casi centenar de migrantes a disposición del INM.
