El secretario de Gobierno del suroriental estado de Quintana Roo, Gabriel Mendicuti, quien viajaba en la aeronave, contó en redes sociales que tras el despegue «se desprendió la cubierta del motor derecho del avión».

Quienes nos encontrábamos en el vuelo 3351 de Aeroméxico pasamos esta mañana el susto de nuestras vidas, ya que recién realizado el despegue se desprendió la cubierta del motor derecho del avión, lo que obligó al piloto a realizar un aterrizaje forzoso, el cual se desarrolló con mucha turbulencia por la falta de ese motor. Afortunadamente la maniobra fue exitosa, aunque en algunos pasajeros, como es natural, generó crisis nerviosa. Este tipo de situaciones nos demuestran qué tan vulnerables somos. Estamos asustados, pero afortunadamente sanos y salvos. Saludos para toda mi familia, en especial a mis hijos y mi esposa.
Ello «obligó al piloto a realizar un aterrizaje forzoso, el cual se desarrolló con mucha turbulencia por la falta de ese motor», indicó.
Los pasajeros que viajaban en el vuelo AM3351 de Aeroméxico fueron reubicados, luego de regresar al Aeropuerto Internacional Benito Juárez de la Ciudad de México por procedimientos de seguridad. Fueron llevados a su destino en otra aeronave.
Tal y como detalló el secretario, los pasajeros del vuelo AM3351 de Aeroméxico están «bien, pero muy asustados».
«Afortunadamente la maniobra fue exitosa, aunque en algunos pasajeros, como es natural, (el suceso) generó crisis nerviosas. Estamos asustados, pero afortunadamente sanos y salvos», agregó.
La pasajera Lucía Nadal afirmó vía Twitter que Aeroméxico «se lleva el premio al peor servicio a clientes», luego de colgar una imagen en donde se ve cómo a una de las turbinas del avión le falta parte de su cubierta.
Por su parte, la compañía Aeroméxico publicó un comunicado en su cuenta de Twitter en el que aclara que el vuelo regresó por procedimiento de seguridad, aterrizó sin contratiempos y ni los pasajeros ni la tripulacoión sufrieron heridas.
