Un hombre abrió fuego este jueves en Umpqua Community College de Oregon, dejando 10 personas muertas y 7 heridas, en la más reciente masacre que golpea a un institución educativa en Estados Unidos.
«En este momento podemos confirmar 10 muertos en el tiroteo y 7 heridos», dijo el sheriff del condado John Hanlin en una conferencia de prensa realizada en la noche. De los heridos, tres se encontraban en condición crítica, agregó.
Hanlin destacó que esas son las cifras más precisas con las que cuenta la policía. Durante el día, hubo información disímil al respecto.
El autor de la balacera también murió, había informado Hanlin más temprano sobre el incidente registrado en el campus ubicado unas 180 millas al sur de Portland.
