(CNN) – Una imagen en la que supuestamente el expresidente de Estados Unidos Barack Obama ayuda a servir alimentos en Houston (Texas), tras las duras consecuencias del huracán Harvey, ha sido compartida miles de veces en Twitter durante este fin de semana. Sin embargo, la fotografía es de hace dos años y fue tomada en un refugio para personas sin hogar de Washington en el Día de Acción de Gracias.
La imagen fue compartida en la red social el pasado sábado con un mensaje que decía: “Algo que nunca verás a Trump hacer: ¡Obama está en Texas sirviendo comidas!”. Para la mañana de este lunes, la publicación tenía más de 7.000 retuits.
Cuando otros usuarios de Twitter llamaron la atención sobre el error, quien publicó inicialmente la imagen respondió: “Lamento que las personas pensaran que esto (la imagen) fue en Texas (él estaba allí), pero esto es de 2015”. Un representante de Obama, sin embargo, le aseguró a CNN que el expresidente no estaba en dicho estado.
Cuando fue contactada por CNN este lunes, la persona que originalmente tuiteó la foto aseguró que la había eliminado.
